The real name of the DJ Calvin Harris is Adam Richard Wiles. DJ started his career at the age of 22, and the reason that he changed his name was that he thought it would be beneficial for his career. According to him, Calvin Harris was a name that sounded the most racially ambiguous, which is why he went through with it. Even though “Adam” seems to be thriving with the name Calvin Harris, he is still not the biggest fan of it and prefers that his friends and family still call him Adam.

Dove Cameron

The name given to Dove at birth by her parents was Chloe Celeste Hosterman. However, the Disney star picked a new name for herself at the age of 15 when her father passed away. She decided to legally change her name to Dove Cameron, and the reason behind choosing this name was that her father had given her this nickname.

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe’s birth name was Norma Jean Baker. When the iconic star married James Dogherty, her name changed to Norma Jean Dougherty. It wasn’t until 1956 that Marilyn legally changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. Even though the public had been referring to her as Monroe for a decade before the change. 

Vin Diesel 

Vin Diesel is one of the few celebrities that changed their name before all the fame. His birth name was Mark Sinclair. But, at the age of 17, the superstar decidedly changed his name after becoming a bouncer in NYC. A reporter tells us that he opted for the name Vin because it was a short form of his stepfather’s name Irving H. Vincent. He picked his last name through an inside joke that he had with his friends.
