Michael Douglas Pays Tribute to Wife On Their 21st Wedding Anniversary

Who says love, at first sight, is a myth? When you’ve got a charming, intelligent, and humorous woman in front of you, anything is possible; even love at first sight! Guess that’s what happened with Michael Douglas when he met his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, for the first time.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones first crossed paths at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998, and they hit it off immediately. Two years later, the couple tied the knot and are still going strong. Recently, they celebrated their 21st anniversary, and Douglas couldn’t stop himself from posting a loving video of him and his wife on Instagram.

A loving tribute…

The video featured pics of Douglas and Zeta-Jones from the day of their wedding, with The American Authors’ song Best Day of my Life in the background. Numerous pictures of the couple attending events together, posing near the beach, driving, and holidaying together were depicted in the video.

But surprisingly, the Ant-Man actor isn’t the only one showering love on his partner. During an April interview with the Wall Street Journal, Zeta-Jones revealed the mantra to a successful marriage. She said the secret behind her long-lasting marriage is having lots of fun with her husband.

Though constant love and respect are crucial in every relationship, maintaining a sense of humor is also very important. Speaking about bonds in general, The Legend of Zorro lead said no relationship is perfect, and experiencing ups and downs is a part of life. However, one should know how to sail through the storm and keep their bond rock solid.

Explaining her relationship with her hubby, she said she and Douglas are unlike any regular couple. Since they don’t have 9-5 jobs and get enough time in their respective fields, they can spend time together and raise their children as per their liking. She even gave the example of how they lived on the Bermuda island for 12 years to nurture their children.

A Match Made In Heaven!

Apart from having an exceptional bond, the couple even celebrates birthdays on the same day. Amazing, right!? On September 25, 2021, the couple paid tribute to each other in a unique way. Douglas detailed his first meeting on Instagram, saying when he learned that Zeta-Jones and his birthday are on the same day, he was overwhelmed. Plus, when she disclosed her love for golf, all his dreams for a perfect life partner came true, and he understood she’s the one!
